The player can use the Talk command to catch an npc's attention, learn skills, and see flavor text. Some npc's aren't talkative, but the player can still talk to them if they really really want to.

Greetings

Several game mechanics, like Trading or Requested Sex require the player to first catch an npc's attention. NPC's can notice the player naturally, but if they don't, the player can get their attention with a greeting.

Learning

If the npc is paying attention to the player, the player can ask the npc to teach them something useful. Usually, this means the npc will try to teach the player a skill, but if not, the npc can teach the player a fun magic trick that increases Dexterity. In the past, the player would need to clear a unique condition before being able to learn a skill when taught, but now, the player will always learn the skill as long as a decent amount of time has passed since the player last learned a skill. By default, the cooldown is 1000 in-game seconds (For reference, this is roughly the amount of time it takes for the Dungeon Altar to reset twice.)

Ask For Drinks

If the player is thirsty, they can ask a nearby npc to give them a drink. If the npc is friendly, they might help the player restore a little bit of thirst. If the npc is unfriendly, they can still help, but it might be a little more direct. If the player is extremely thirsty, and their urine addiction or semen taste addiction is high, they may ask for a drink in a more "direct" fashion.

Ask For Food

If the player is hungry, they can ask a nearby npc to give them some food. If the npc is willing, they will give the player some food if they are friendly or attack the player if not.

Dismissal

Sometimes the player will want to do something that's better to do without spectators (like Masturbation.) In these cases, the player can try to tell an npc to leave the room. Most npc's will not like being told to go away, and depending on the npc, they may refuse to leave or even become hostile.

Requests

The player can ask npc's for small favors, like unlocking their Category:Bondage or giving them a useful collectible. If the npc is interested, they will respond to these sorts of requests by giving the player an errand to complete first.

Flavor Questions

In addition to all the more useful forms of conversation, the player can talk to npc's just for the joy of talking to them. Sometimes npc's will give hints or tips about the game, though.
