Game Settings

As soon as you open trapquest, you arrive at the game settings page, which you can use to control various aspects of your experience. Any changes made here are for cosmetic reasons, or for convenience's sake. More gameplay oriented changes can be made on the fetishes page. Below is a list of all selectable options on the game settings page, and what they do.

Normal Start

• Allows the player to choose their gameplay options, including
  • Player Sex
  • In-game fetishes
  • Starting stats
• Displays the prologue after all options have been selected.

Quick Start

• Uses the same player choices as the last time the player chose normal start, including player sex.
• Does not display the prologue.

Random Start

• Randomizes player stats, sex, and in-game fetishes
• Does not display the prologue

Automatic continue

• Determines how long the game will wait before advancing automatically
  • This will only happen when the game is waiting for a specific input, like "enter"

Display Images:

• Selecting "On" enables images for the following:
  • Items
  • The player
  • Npc's
  • Furniture
• Selecting "Off" disables images.

Map Window:

• Selecting "On" Adds a window on the left of the screen during gameplay, which contains a map.
• Selecting "Off" removes the map window.

Character Window:

• Selecting "Porn" moves player images displayed by the "examine me" command into a permanent window on the right of the screen during gameplay.
  • This means that examining oneself will no longer cause images to display.
• Selecting "Drawn" displays a portrait of the character featuring drawn art
  • This is only available with the donator's version
• Selecting "Off" removes the character window.

Character Window Image Size

• Allows you to manipulate the size of the images shown in the character window on the right.
  • No effect for the drawn window

Self Examine Image Delay:

• Selecting "On" introduces a delay after displaying player images during self examination.
  • This is 10 seconds by default, but can be skipped through a key press.
  • Has no effect if Character Window is on.
• Selecting "Off" disables this delay.

Display Face Images

• Selecting "On" causes face images to display in the character window, or when the player examines themself. Does not affect drawn images
• Selecting "On" disables face images

Display Breast Images

• Selecting "On" causes images of the player's breasts to display upon self examination or in the character window
  • This does not apply for the drawn character window.
• Selecting "Off" disables breast images

Display Belly Images

• Selecting "On" causes images of the player's belly to appear, including various levels of bulge.
  • This does not affect the drawn character window.
• Selecting "Off" disables belly images

Display Ass Images

• Selecting "On" causes crotch images to appear during self examination and in the porn character window.
  • These images depict mostly female butts, so if you are playing as male this can break immersion
  • The drawn character window is unnaffected by these changes, since it always displays the crotch.
• Selecting "Female only" disables crotch images for male players
• Selecting "Off" disables all crotch images.

Display Stockings Images

• Selecting "On" causes stockings images to appear during self examination and in the character window
  • No effect if using the drawn character window
• Selecting "Off" disables these images, although they will still appear if the stockings are examined by themselves.

Display Heels Images

• Selecting "On" causes heels images to appear during self examination and in the porn character window
  • No effect if using the drawn character window
• Selecting "Off" disables these images, although they will still appear if heels are examined by themselves.

Display Gape Images

• Selecting "On" enables self examination and the character window to display gaped orifices
• Selecting "Off" disables this feature

Display Fetish Images

• Selecting "On" enables fetish specific images, including those only possible via bukkake
• Selecting "Off" disables these images

Pubic Hair Images

• Selecting "On" enables pubic hair that diminishes as the player loses lives
  • Only affects the drawn character window
• Selecting "Tidy and Below" disables "bushier" pubic hair
• Selecting "Landing strip only" limits pubic hair to exceptionally tidy variants
• Selecting "Off" disables pubic hair

Automatically search containers after examining them

• Selecting "On" causes the player to automatically perform the "search" or "open command on a container after performing the "examine" or "look" command on them.
  • This will not happen if the container is found to be trapped
• Selecting "Off" disables this feature.

Automatically attempt standing after tripping

• Selecting "On" causes the player to immediately try to stand if they trip.
  • They will not, however, try to stand immediately if they //were tripped.// Standing up after npc attacks must be done manually
• Selecting "Off" disables this feature.
